Call for Unit Writers

The Postgraduate Diploma in Media and Information Literacy (PGDMIL) is being developed through a collaboration between UNESCO, IGNOU, and the South Asian Centre for Teacher Development (SACTD).

The programme builds critical competencies among educators and media professionals across South Asia in understanding, evaluating, and creating media content responsibly. We are now inviting applications from qualified individuals to contribute as Unit Writers for the development of course materials.

Who Can Apply
  • Faculty members and researchers in Media Studies, Journalism, Communication, Library Science, or Education
  • Professionals with expertise in Media and Information Literacy
  • Experienced writers of self-learning or distance education content
  • Scholars with relevant publications in MIL or related disciplines
  • Applicants from any South Asian country are welcome
Process & Timeline

Submit EOI
Complete the online Expression of Interest form with your profile, preferred unit, and statement of interest.

Review & Shortlisting
Applications are reviewed by the PGDMIL Programme Committee. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email.

Onboarding
Selected writers receive detailed guidelines, templates, timelines, and mentorship for unit development.
4
Writing & Review
Draft units undergo peer review, editorial feedback, and quality assurance before final publication.
